Is this Otter Fashion?
Otters are silly and fun, and playing with leaves can be silly and fun! It feels very on brand for otters to me.
I'm also sure otters recognize that stuff on heads makes everything better, leaves included.
Otters do love to play with leaves as we've seen, so I suppose it just happens that one lands on their heads.

Add to that how an otters head is a good shape to carry a leaf.
That's such a cute video!

When there are leaves on the water and an otter comes up out of it, one of them may end up on his face.
This otter is clearly people watching, and they are camouflaging themselves using a leaf. The otter doesn't know they aren't very well hidden, but we don't want to upset the otter and we want to see them again, so we'll just make that our little secret.
Perhaps the leaves also enjoy it.
damn, these otters all look very nice with these leaves. The elegent look is only improved by the effortless sense of style. That and their long, lithe bodies make our streams, rivers and oceans into a regular fashion show!

Sorry i only just remembered ottercan and am phoneposting to feed my lust. Apologies for double/stupidposts
We all love otters here, it's good to have another otter lover around. I, for one, definitely lose a couple IQ points when in presence of otters. It takes up a lot of brain resources to process all that is otter.
Otters seem to have various interesting effects on people. This should be studied further.

Sometimes it's as if otter heads are leaf magnets.

Otters and leaves certainly have a special relationship with each other.
Do otters use leaves to build their holts?
Leaves and straw and other comfy stuff.

I wonder why they do it.
Consider you were a leaf. Would you not take any opportunity to join an otter on its many adventures?
Lel nice drawing
If I were a leaf, I'd take any opportunity to make my life more exciting.

Otters use leaves to make their beds, looks like that one is carrying them home
And what could be more exciting that being with an otter?
Being on an otter.
Being an otter who has a leaf
We got a winner here folks! Very exciting indeed, you gold star.
Oh you could still top that. How about an otter with multiple leaves?
This raises the question, are there diminishing returns on otter leaves?
Interesting question. If you would keep adding leaves you would get a pile of leaves, which is much more valuable than one leaf. Of course, how many leaves is enough for a pile of leaves?

Otter of the leaf pile, what is your wisdom?

That's not a leaf on an otter, that's an otter on leaves
Do otters like salad?
To roll in? Definitely.
To eat? Depends, they'll probably just pick out the stuff they like.
but do they eat it, or are they an ingredient?
You know salad does seem pretty comfy but I've never had one big enough to try sleeping in. A salad bowl would be the ideal size for an otter so they could sleep in it and enjoy snacking on it at the same time.
Do you think salads are healthy for otters too?
Surely it's good for them to get a little bit of variety in their diet once in a while. Some canine predators do like to eat grass and such to help with digestion, don't they? Perhaps otters will do that too.

I'm looking forward to otterleaf season this year.
But why eat it when you can wear it? Or roll in it, even.

What's an otter's favourite kind of leaf? What's the optimal leaf shape for an otter?
Hmm, I think it would be reniform as they remind me of otter noses.

So we have leaves on heads, but what about flowers below noses? Could be worth additional research.

Interesting proposal. I only have this specimen, but the flower is slightly above the nose. Do you have some more examples?

I found this one! Also a lot of AI art and some art I can't tell is AI or not.

It is getting harder to find real otter photos...
